Yes, legal or not, Brazilian law allows your return with your belongings.

Depending on the season and accommodation in containers, 90-120 days.
4.What is the deadline for submitting my removal after my departure?
It can be sent until 180 days after your arrival in Brazil.
5.I studied in the United Kingdom less than a year, do I have a right to take my belongings?
Only articles of personal use, as books, clothing, etc..
6.What is allowed to send in a removal?
You can send furniture, electronics, appliances, clothing and toys. Everything you have in your home that qualifies as personal belongings and are considered used.
7.What is not allowed to send in a removal?
Products of inestimable value, seeds, tobacco and / or derivatives, motors of any kind powered by gasoline, including motorcycles, cars and fuel-powered tools. Not allowed to send new items that qualify as imported. Example: new computers, laptops, medicines, jewellery, etc.
8.What is the procedure for sending cars, motorbikes, Jet ski or boat with my removal?
Not allowed to send any of the above items as part of a removal, even if they are used. Any type of motor fuel must be new and sent as imported. Taxes will be charged according to the law and the IRS table.
9.Can I send my tools and work equipment?
Yes, as long as it is related to their area of work. Eg: If you are a mechanic, can send mechanic’s tools. So the IRS has the right to require proof related to the profession.
10.What is the procedure for sending new items?
Transbox must have documented knowledge to perform the customs declaration. The rate of import is determined by the IRS.
11. If I send something that qualifies as an import and I do not declare, what can it happen?
This is a violation of law, the IRS collect taxes normally increasing by a fine of 100% on the value of care. There are cases that the goods will be confiscated.
12.What documentation is necessary for my removal to Brazil?
• Copy of CPF and RG
• Copy of all pages of the passport including blank pages
• Documents attesting that you are abroad for at least 1 year (phone bill, gas, electricity, etc.) or a certificate granted by the consulate stating that remain.
• Return ticket to Brazil
• List of items with values reported in pounds sterling
• Declaration of residence (provided by Transbox)
• Notarized power of attorney or the consulate office in Brazil.
13.How important is the Certificate of Residence that the consulate provides?
In some ports it’s enough to release their goods, but in others will require proof of residence + declaration of residence that Transbox provides.
14.Do I have to go to the port to monitor the release of my removal?
No, as long as you have a legal representative before the Federal Revenue and Customs Tax. When you hire our services from door to door, we provide all information and documents necessary, including hiring the agent to release your removal.
15.What guarantee do I have of my belongings?

Packaging Tips
Choose the size of the box according to its content. Do not exceed the maximum volume of the box and avoid much empty boxes, use the appropriate box to transport your goods.
Always use high quality materials for your shipments. Consider the strength, conditioning and durability when selecting your wrapping supplies.
Use of cushioning materials, especially to stop your packaging contents from moving.
Put fragile goods in the middle of the order and be sure to not touch the sides. Your item should be well cushioned on all sides.
Use labels “this side up” for fragile materials.
Remember always to pack small items in appropriate packages.
